Annika will lead a “Hero Talk” titled “What will it take to achieve a fossil free society? Partnerships, hydrogen and acceptance are key.”

Vattenfall work to enable the fossil freedom that drives society forward. In this session we will start by looking at today’s energy and emission situation and the options and preconditions Vattenfall see as realistic to reduce emissions. Hydrogen will play an important role to store renewable energy and to offload the electricity grid.

We will explore several partnerships that Vattenfall is involved in like, Hybrit, First Movers Coalition and the production of electro fuels. We will also discuss some of the challenges like acceptance and permitting of new fossil free electricity generation.
